SET THE ALARM FOR MONDAY

For his third release on Palmetto Records, composer and drummer Bobby Previte brings us The New Bump, a logical musical extension of Previte’s original Bump The Renaissance bands. Sonically intriguing and cinematically centered, Set The Alarm For Monday grooves as only Previte can.

ROBERT WALTER
CURE ALL

“Robert Walter is a smashing in-your-face, funk/jazz keyboard player with a remarkable talent for writing great hooks.” -- Keyboard Magazine
Robert wrote this collection of originals with a couple of players in mind - drummer Johnny Vidacovich and bassist James Singleton. Johnny is an elder statesman in New Orleans. He's taught many of the local drummers and has been a fixture of the music scene there all his life. James Singleton has an intimate and extensive affiliation with the New Orleans music scene and a member of Astral Project, a fixture there since 1978. |

BEN ALLISON
Little Things Run The World

Check out Ben's eagerly anticipated CD, Little Things Run the World. Ben's 8th album as a leader features his quintet Man Size Safe playing four new rocking Allison originals, two Allison classics, a soulful interpretation of John Lennon's Jealous Guy, and a new tune by guitarist Steve Cardenas. Man Size Safe plays with a cinematic, rock-meets-Americana sound that mixes joyous exuberance and good-humored irreverence with textured grooves and an occasional political jab. The group features Michael Blake (saxophones), Ron Horton (trumpet), Steve Cardenas (guitar), Ben Allison (bass), and Michael Sarin (drums).
